Last November, my friend Jessica Claire asked me if I could come and give her a hand at a little wedding in Kelowna. . Since I absolutely adore Jess and I thought it would a ton of fun to shoot together, I agreed without even thinking about it. So whose wedding is is? Well, if you at all involved in the photography world, you'll know their names: Gary Fong and Melissa Carl.

After a 4 hour drive over two mountain ranges, I arrived to more rain!  If you're from Vancouver, you'll know that rain has been a very frequent occurrence this summer, so I wasn't really surprised that it was raining here too.  Jess and I settled in for some girl talk on Sunday night and then headed over to The Ranch for Monday's rehearsal dinner / pool party.  The first thing you notice is the spectacular view from the massive windows in the great room.  (I didn't have my camera with me, so Jess has kindly let me borrow these images from her blog.)

The light up here is truly amazing and I can't wait to get to the ranch today for the wedding.  It such a pleasure to get to hang out with some of the icons in our industry is such a casual setting.  I'll have plenty more to blog about tomorrow, but for now go check out Jess's blog and see what's been happening.

I can't wait to get up to the ranch and start shooting today.  Gary and Missy are so darn cute together and the light is just stunning up here.  What a perfect combination for the wedding day.  More soon...
