When other photographers ask us to photograph them, it is always a humbling request.  So, when we received an email from Byron that he wanted to surprise his wife with a photo session in Vegas, we were both honoured and excited.  Maureen and Byron are actually from Ottawa, but they were planning to be in Vegas for a wedding.  Since we were going to be there for WPPI, it was the perfect time!

We were a little nervous because we hadn't met them yet, but we shouldn't have been.  These two are just fabulous and they were open to literally anything we wanted.  They simply asked us to do our thing.  The truth is, that they made it easy for us - being photographers they completely understood what we wanted and never hesitated to give it to us!

It was also a great time for us to try out our latest passion in a real situation:  the tilt shift lens.  I have wanted one for just about forever, and when Steve surprised me with it just before Vegas, I was so excited.  

There are several more to come, but it's Easter weekend and the boys are waiting to jump on the trampoline with us.  Maureen & Byron - thank you!  It was an absolute pleasure to meet you both and we can't wait to hang out again!
