WPPI Accolades of Excellence
For the first time ever, Steve and I submitted images in the annual WPPI 16x20 Awards of Excellence Competition. I'm sure that most of the photographers that read our blog know what these are, but for those of you non-photographers out there, the WPPI Awards of Excellence are a judged competition that is held annually at the WPPI convention in Las Vegas.
We had hoped to arrive in Vegas in time to watch the process, but we unfortunately, weren't able to see any of it. So we waited, and wondered how many of our prints actually "hung". Only images that are awarded an Accolade of Excellence (a score of 80 or above) actually hang for the convention attendees to see. It's a very humbling experience to walk the rows of stunning images and realize that your's are actually hanging among them.
