Anthony & JoJo
This is Anthony:
And this is JoJo:
And we could photograph them together all day long! Here's why:
For the first time in over 300 weddings, we had a couple do this:
This was a real wedding...I know they look so amazing and they did so many awesome things that it's hard to believe this was all from the wedding day. And itt rained. HARD. As anyone in Vancouver last week would know. They didn't care. They were getting married and they wanted awesome photos - getting a little wet or dirty was a small price to pay for the opportunity to do this. They did everything we asked without question or compromise, even laying down in a few interesting spots. But what touched us the most was how true they are to each other and the incredible bond they have between them.
JoJo is a rock star! Anthony called her the bravest person he knows and he's so right. She came to Vancouver from Taiwan, where they met and fell in love, to marry Anthony. She spoke hardly any English at all and left her family behind to be with him. And you only have to spend a few minutes with her to understand why Anthony took up Yoga just to spend time with her.
Anthony is just as wonderful as his new wife - full of joy with a contagious sense of humour. We first met him nearly four years ago when he was a groomsman at Ryan and Joy's wedding (it was pre-blog so I don't have any images to show you). He planned this wedding on his own while waiting for JoJo to come and he did an unbelievable job.
Just one last image for now...the groomsmen were complaining because I was shooting them near a dumpster (ok, one of them was actually touching the dumpster). I figured I should probably show them what I was seeing. Not too bad, hey boys?
Thanks so much to the entire bridal party who made shooting in the rain more fun than we knew was possible!

My name's Lilian, and I'm a close cousin of Anthony's, and now JoJo's haha. I LOVE these pictures!! You guys did an incredible job...kind of makes me wish you did the photos for my brother's wedding last Labor Day! I was a bridesmaid, and I loved it, I think I would've loved it even more with you guys around.
You guys did an amazing job, and you definitely did my cousin(s) justice. Anthony's like a second brother to me, and I'm glad he hired you guys to do his photos. A TERRIFIC job!!
