Tag...huh?

Someone, I don't know who, started this "game" where you tell 8 things about yourself and then tag 8 others.  I had no idea this was happening until the folks at Perspectiveye tagged me.  I think it's kind of like those chain letters we used to get when we were kids...you have to keep it going!

Here goes:

1.  I'm actually older than Steve is (shhhh!).

2.  I grew up less than a mile from where I live now.

3.  I used to be teacher and then an accountant before coming to photography.

4.  I think Lisa Pyden is the most amazing person I know.

5.  I love the music from the musical "Rent" - my studio manager thinks I'm nuts when I crank "Seasons of Love" and dance around the studio.

6.  I'm very shy.  Seriously!  I talked so little that my preschool teacher thought there was something wrong with me and brought my parents in for a meeting.

7.  I like to scare myself:  I switched high schools in grade 11, I went to a university 3000 miles from home where I knew nobody,  I took up rock climbing and mountain biking because they scared me, I spoke in front of hundreds of photographers in March and my knees shook the entire time.  I believe in challenging my fears by doing the very thing that frightens me - it's not scary once you have done it.

8.  I am constantly surprised when I walk into a room of photographers and people know who I am.  Honestly - I never think people know who I am or what I do, so it's cool when someone introduces themselves and lets me know they love our work.

So, my 8...well, I'm going to introduce you all to some people who are kicking butt (and who will actually play this game).  Hopefully none of them have been tagged before.
